A cherished holiday tradition in the local music community, the Playathon invites students to perform in a relaxed, festive setting while supporting a meaningful cause. An acoustic piano will be set up in the gallery, creating a lively musical backdrop as visitors explore the ArtWalk exhibits.

This year, LAMTA is encouraging participants and attendees to contribute a minimum donation of $10, with all proceeds benefiting both the non-profit organization and the Louisiana Music Teachers Association’s Save Our Students Fund—a disaster relief program that supports students and teachers affected by natural disasters across Louisiana and beyond.

The event not only celebrates the joy of music in this holiday season but also fosters community spirit, generosity, and the belief that music can make a lasting positive impact.
